This Giving Tuesday, we are asking members of our community to consider making a gift towards the safety and security for all who come to celebrate, learn and pray at Kol Tikvah.
The last few months have shown us the unfortunate reality that anti-semitism not only lurks in the shadows, but is growing and thriving. Even our quiet, incredible community in Northwest Broward County is not beyond the pale for acts of hatred and calls for violence against Jews.
It is our time to respond accordingly, sending a message to all that hate and violence against Jews will not happen at Congregation Kol Tikvah.
We are implementing a two phase security fundraising plan, with the first phase requiring an overall investment of $175,000. These funds will fortify our playground, increase facilities access controls, expand our security camera network, and much, much more.
We were able to allocate $55,000 towards this effort, but cannot begin our work until we raise at least another $80,000.
